Dear Woodard Girls' parents, girls and friends,

Welcome to the Woodard Girls’ blog site! We are a very busy house with the girls involving themselves fully in so many different activities that it is sometimes hard to keep track! The aim of this site is to keep you all up to date with their activities and achievements. I aim to update the blog every Monday afternoon, so please do come back and visit it on a regular basis.

House Music

A write up from Ellie who enjoyed the evening enormously!
Monday the 1st of October was a spectacular evening of music, with the House hosting the annual music night. The show had an impressive turnout with all pupils and several parentscoming in to see the talent that Woodard had to offer!

The atmosphere was hugely supportive and relaxed with the boys and girls showing true appreciation for talent displayed by their peers.  The evening was beautifully compered by Claire and Kaan

Performers in running order were as follows:
·         Eloise and Georgie = `My Kind Of Love` by Emile Sande

·         Charlie = `I can’t make you love me` by Bon Iver
·         Nicky = `I Giorni` by Ludovico Einaudi
·         Emily = `Next to me ` by Emile Sande

·         Georgie = `Contest Solo No.2` by Paul Harvey

·         Bruna = `Your Song` by Elton John ( Cover by Ellie Goulding)

·         Eloise and Charlie = `Every teardrop is a waterfall` by Coldplay

·         Emily = `Largo and Allemanda` ( Movements 1 & 2 from Sonata in G Minor) by Jean Baptiste Loeillet
·         Nicola and Bruna = `Bound to you` by Christina Aguilera

·         Georgie = `Contest Solo No. 2` by Paul Harvey
·         Charlie and Axel = `Damn right I’ve got the blues` by Buddy Guy
·         Moon = `Piano Sonata No.17 in D minor (Tempest) 3rd Movement` by Beethoven
·         Connor = `I’m sexy and I know it` by LMFAO

Afterwards we were able to relax and socialise and congratlate our peers on their outstanding performances!

Thank – You to all the performers, teachers, students and parents for making Woodard Music Night so fantastic!

From a personal point of view, I admire them hugely for having the courage to stand up and perform in front of so many of their peers…. Bravo indeed!
